About Sedona Mago Retreat & Wellness

A Legacy of Healing and Harmony on a Sacred Land

Sedona Mago Retreat & Wellness is built on mindfulness, coexistence, and spiritual growth. Rooted in ancient Taoist traditions, our programs and services are designed to guide you toward inner peace and holistic health.

Sacred Land

Cherished as a sacred site in the native American lineage, the premises of Sedona Mago were lovingly developed to hold space for your healing, spiritual elevation, and physical restoration. We strongly believe in the intrinsic value of connecting to nature as a way to recharge.

We invite you to take a hike along our beautiful pathways lined with sage and sparkling crystal powders from the surrounding ancient healing red rocks. Go for a stroll along one of our three labyrinths, stop by one of our many sacred energy vortexes, or visit our 120 Steps for a moment of reflection and connection.

Sit and meditate on the banks of our soothing lake surrounded by a healing garden. Whether alone or in a group, you’ll find opportunities to breathe, heal and simply be at Mago.

Our History

Sedona Mago Retreat & Wellness was established in 1997 by Ilchi Lee, a renowned meditation expert and founder of Brain Education. After teaching mind mastery for 15 years in South Korea, Lee discovered a dilapidated 173-acre property in Sedona, Arizona, previously owned by Lester Levenson, founder of the Sedona Method of meditation. With a vision to create a destination for spiritual evolution and personal development, Lee convinced his non-profit organization, Tao Fellowship, to purchase and restore the land.

The name “Mago” is derived from a Korean term meaning the unconditional love and spirit of Mother Earth, reflecting the center’s mission to promote love for humanity and the planet. Over the years, Sedona Mago has transformed into a sanctuary offering various programs focused on healing, meditation, and self-discovery, all set amidst Sedona’s renowned vortexes and healing red rocks.
