About Northern Light Balloon Expeditions / Sedona Balloon Flights
Founded in 1974, Northern Light Balloon Expeditions / Sedona Balloon Flights holds the longest continuous flying record of any Arizona hot air balloon company — and an outstanding safety record to match. With over five decades of experience navigating the breathtaking landscapes of the Sedona area, our team delivers a level of expertise, professionalism, and confidence that truly sets us apart.
As the sun rises over the iconic formations of Sedona, guests float peacefully above the desert in one of our two balloon types:
• Our intimate Avian balloons (maximum seven passengers)
• Our larger UltraMagic balloons (maximum fourteen passengers)
Balloons go where the wind takes them, so while we never know where we will go each day, every flight is designed to showcase Sedona’s beauty from multiple perspectives — soaring high for sweeping red rock vistas, descending lower for up-close views of the high desert terrain, or perhaps descending into red rock canyons and over waterways to look for wildlife.
After your landing, celebrate your adventure with a traditional champagne toast (or orange juice or mimosas) accompanied by pastry treats — a timeless ballooning tradition that adds a festive finish to an unforgettable morning.
At $375 per person with zero additional fees, our pricing is straightforward and transparent. We also provide complimentary pick-up and drop-off service from most Sedona hotels for your convenience. For those seeking an even more exclusive experience, private flights are available for additional cost.
While we don't have a public office, we are easy to contact seven days a week, 9am - 5pm, Arizona time. Balloon merchandise is available in our space inside the Sedona Artist Market.
